T-Shirt A Day - #7

Posted on March 29, 2020May 11, 2023 by admin

March 29, 2020

Sunday used to be a very different kind of day. I have memories of being waken up, and dressed, to walk down the street…down, then up hill…to church, a building that still stands today, albeit with a different congregation. Then, it was getting up early and driving to a (different) church so that I could get ready with the choir, to sing during the service.

As the years passed, routines changed; and I was getting my kids up for breakfast, because we usually had some sort of outing planned for the day.

Around that time (20ish years ago) someone introduced me to Coronation Street. It aired Monday through Friday in the afternoons, with an omnibus of those episodes running on Sunday mornings. Dependent on whether or not the kids were staying with me, I would either record it, or watch it live.

These days, I use an app to watch the eps.

So…no coffee this morning. I’ve got the tea on, and I’m about to watch a couple of episodes of the world’s longest running soap (premiering on 9 Dec 1960). And so describes the reasoning behind today’s shirt.
